Two Months!

Aiden, you are 2 months old! Here are some of the things you are up to:

--You weighed in at 12 lbs 12 oz and 23.5 inches long. Mommy was glad to hear you are gaining good weight. Considering some of the antics you have been up to lately, she was a little nervous.
--Still in size 1 diapers and size 0-3 clothes. You are starting to fill out your 3 month clothes a lot better now.
--You smile a lot! (that is, when you are not fussing :). You smile in response to mom and dads voice, others talking to you, ect. You are cooing a lot as well--it's so sweet to hear your voice!
--You are getting close a laugh, but not quite there yet. I hear quite a few squeals though!
--You are super active! When are you in your bouncy seat or swing, you move your arms and legs like its going out of style! You are much more interested in the toys on the bouncy seat, and you are even trying to bat at them with your hands. You LOVE the play gym--but you have limited time with it since you can't lie on your back due to your reflux :(
--You LOVE mirrors and fans. Love them. You could stare at them forever and just smile.
--You started sleeping through the night! Hooray! No more 2 am feeding (although, somestimes when you are being a fuss, you like to wake up at 2 am, but you don't seem to be hungry. You just need to be settled). I'm hoping your sleeping will become more and more consistent over this next month.
--You nurse about every 2.5-3 hours during the day
--We are still batteling your acid reflux. You were on a med that seemed to be working, then you suddenly began to vomit it up...along with all of your feedings :( So you had to get on a med to stop the vomiting, but it did nothing for the reflux pain. So, we added a new med to help control the acid--lets hope it works! This month has been a terror! You still live your life in a bib. Although, you don't spit up near as much!
--You sat in your Bumbo for the first time---you are still a little floppy for it, but we are going to keep trying.
--You went through a phase where you would NOT sleep on your belly for naps, you would only be held. Then, one day, you decided it was ok to sleep on your belly again....and that is the ONLY way you will take a nap. You will not sleep in your sleeper during the day....no idea why.
--You also went through a phase where you boycotted your sleeper at night--you would immediatly wake up and cry. You would ONLY sleep on your tummy at night--due to sleep deprivation, Mommy caved in and let you sleep on your belly in the pack and play next to her bed. You slept like a rock!...6 hours! That went on for three nights, then you went back to your sleeper with no problem. Crazy child.
--Outings have been limited due to your constant fussiness. Lets hope this next month brings a calmer Aiden who can tolerate being out and about. Mommy needs out of this house!
--You do really well with the bottle with expressed breast milk when Mommy is gone. We try to do this at least once a week to keep you used to it.
--You do not like awake tummy time.
--You got your first rounds of shots---you did better than I expected! You screamed until your face was red, but only for a few minutes. When I put you in your car seat when the shots were over, you passed out in a second...and stayed that way for awhile. You were pretty sleepy the rest of the day.
--You still sleep in your rock and play sleeper in mom and dads room. You're a bit high maintenence, and you cant sleep flat in your crib due to the reflux. Let's hope this next month brings a graduation to your room!

I think thats about it! You are the cutest little boy, and we love you very much!
