Here is what you are up to these days:
--You were diagnosed with a confirmed cows milk allergy, but likely mulitple other allergies/intolerances as well. They call this mulitple protein intolerance and you have been battleing it since you were born, we just didnt find out until I decided to nix the nursing due to your constant screaming during feeds. Well, I gave you formula and you immediatly broke out in hives and your eyes swelled up, and then you screamed for 3 hours. Switched you to a hypoallergenic formula, and you were a new baby! Problem solved, right? WRONG. The new Aiden only lasted for about a week, then everything went downhill again and blood starting showing up in your poops. Back to the pedi GI we go....turns out you are allergic to the hypoallergenic formula. Awesome. So we put you on an amino acid based formula so your body doesnt have to break down any proteins at all. You have only been on it for a week, but we are starting to see some positive results. The MD said it will take about another month for the allergy to clear your system.
--You still have acid reflux, and they tell me its going to get worse this month. Another awesome. Now that you are not vomiting everything up, we started you back on Prevacid. I'm really hoping it works because the whole crying during feeding gig is really stressing Mom out...
--You spit. A lot. Its the worst in your car seat. That being said, we don't get out much.
--You sleep through the night like a champ. You just recently eliminated the 10 pm feeding. It was impossible to wake you up for it---so after 3 nights of me trying and you not being the least bit interestered, I gave up. You have done great without it. You feed for the last time at 7:30 and then go straight to sleep. You start to wake up and talk to yourself around 6 am, but dont start crying for food until 7! Its the best!
--You discovered your hands are for more than just sucking on this past month. You are entranced by them and I will occasionally find you just staring at your hand while you open and close your fingers. Its so cute! Your getting really good at reaching out and grasping for objects.
--You love your bouncy seat and play gym!
--You still do not like tummy time. I have a feeling you may be a little delayed in that area.
--You still cannot sleep flat in your crib due to the reflux.
--You sleep in the Rock and Play inclined sleeper in your room. You did so great with the transition to sleeping in your own room!
--You still love your swing....it's your favorite napping spot. We are trying to get you away from napping there, but we are met with resistance when we try.
--You are wearing size 1 or 2 diapers. Size 2's fit the best, but we want to use all of our size 1's, so we make them work :) Just a tad tight.
--You are wearing 3 month clothes and some 3-6 month.
--You started laughing out loud!
