This past month can be summed up in two words: Teething and mobility :)
Here is what you have been up to:
-Height and weight unknown. Luckily, we havent had to go to the doctor since you were 6 months...hooray! Thats a big deal for us!
-Still in size 3 diapers.
-Wearing 9 month and 12 month clothes. 6-9's are getting a little tight.
-Still taking daily Prevacid for your reflux. You go through periods where you wont spit up at all for a week or two, then it comes back in full force. I've noticed that when your teeth are starting to come in, you start spitting up more for about a week, then it stops. Darn teething.
-Speaking of teeth, you have 2! (both bottom). You are currently working on your top teeth, I am hoping to see them anyday. Luckily, teething doesnt seem to effect your nightime sleep....you just nap pretty restlessly during the day.
-You are a drooling machine.
-You still continue to be a rock star night sleeper. 730-730 and you never wake up during the night. Thank you for this!
-You take 2 naps a day: Usually a morning nap from 9:00-10:30/11:00 and an afternoon nap from 2:00-5:00.
-Your tear ducts are still blocked. Boo!!! Your eyes are ALWAYS goopy and you get about 1 eye infection a month because of it (last month you had 2!). We are waiting until your 9 month well baby visit to find out what the next step is. Likely you will have to go to a pedi eye doctor and have a procedure to probe and open the ducts. I'm so ready for it to be done! I hate seeing your eyes constantly red and goopy :(
-You have entered the world of mobility! You can army crawl with the best of them. You are fast. From sitting, you transition into an all 4s position, but when you try to move you fall and revert to the army crawl. You are constantly getting up on all 4s and rocking and trying to move, you just cant seem to coordinate it yet. This past week you have also mastered getting from lying down to sitting up by yourself.
-Being mobile had definitly helped your independence. You love to play by yourself and explore now. I dont have to be right by your side at all times (hooray!!). You play and play, then you stop and look for me, smile, and go back to playing. It's very sweet.
-When you are done playing on your own you start fussing and crawl into my lap....its a little pathetic, but cute.
-You are constantly talking. You have gotten really good at the "M" sound and I am convinced that you have said mama a few times. You have also been practicing the "B" sound a lot.
-You LOVE your bath! You practically try to fly out of my arms when you see it. You love to splash and play with your toys.
-Your favorite toys are cords, surround sound speakers, my watch, and the christmas tree :) When your eye catches either of these things you make a beeline for them as fast as you can. We have gotten really good at quickly catching you and building barriers around the house.
-You still eat 5 bottles a day, about every 3-4 hours.
-You are still eating baby food, only once a day. We take breaks from food every once in a while because your bowels dont always agree with them. Your digestive system is still the pits!
-You went on your first long trip away from home over Thanksgiving and you did great!! We did learn one thing: You are not so much of a car sleeper :(
-You got your first cold at the end of your 7th month :( It wasnt so bad though, and it didnt effect your nighttime sleep at all!
